“ Most of the restaurants in Colfax put big billboards on the freeway to attract Tahoe traffic to their restaurants. Once upon a time, these busy restaurants actually served good food. But now these established highway restaurants serve terrible food and depend on guaranteed highway traffic to keep their doors open. This is not the case with Rosie's. Rosie's is letting their incredible BBQ do the advertising for them. Now, my husband and i finally have a place near home where we can eat out. Or order online and pick up. They are located a short drive from the Colfax exit on the way to Rollin's Lake. Walking distance from the local watering hole, the Red Frog. And for any negative reviews you might read, understand that - even on a bad day at the restaurant - Colfax is LUCKY to have this gem. ”
“ I've been looking forward to Rosie's opening, and today was the day. Will eventually try everything on the menu based on how much I enjoyed the sliced turkey and beef ribs. Turkey was so tender with a great smokey flavor, and the rub on the ribs was special. Can't decide which sauce I liked more. The Alabama white is unique. The sides are good also had Mac n cheese and potato salad Welcome, Pit Master Boomer and crew! ”
